Going to the chiropractor for the first time can make some people very nervous. It is a bit different than seeing your family physician, and not everyone knows what to expect. At the Family Chiropractic Center of Santa Fe, we are proud to say that our goal is to provide you with the best care that we can, while helping you to stay comfortable. That is why our chiropractor in Santa Fe has come up with this list of what to expect from your first visit:

• Your Consultation- Before we can provide you with any treatments or adjustments, we will get to know you by learning about your health history and providing you with an in-depth consultation. During this time you will tell us about the condition that you are hoping to treat, and let us know about any treatments you have already undergone. You will be able to air any questions or concerns you have, and you will  be able to get a sense of whether we would be a good fit for you.
• Your Examination- The goal of the examination is to determine if you have any dysfunction in your neuromusculoskeletal system. We will be touching your soft tissue and your muscles, and if necessary, we will take a digital x-ray on-site. If there is a need for an MRI, we will refer you to a facility that can provide one for you.
• Your Treatment- Treatment will be based on your own specific needs, but in most cases, chiropractic adjustments are in order. These adjustments are safe and effective, and they are performed by a Santa Fe chiropractor with over 30 years of experience.
